Client Situation

A growing exploration and production MLP was replacing their disparate systems and processes with a more scalable and integrated enterprise resource planning solution. By growing quickly via acquisitions, the company found that it was simply not sustainable to continue running multiple production systems along with disparate accounting and land systems. As part of the implementation effort the company implemented systems to support production and revenue accounting, joint interest billing, property accounting, land administration, marketing, AFE, supply chain and financial reporting.

Our Response

Trenegy was chartered to manage the overall implementation, facilitate the business process design sessions, and lead the change management efforts of the project. Trenegy leveraged their proven implementation project management methodology and their extensive knowledge of E&P business processes to lead the design, testing, and deployment of the new processes and systems. Trenegy team members collaborated with the client team along with each system integrator to ensure that key activities were completed on-time and key issues and decisions were communicated appropriately across the project team.

Result

Trenegy’s project management methodology enabled the implementation to be completed on-time and under budget. Trenegy was able to ensure a seamless transition for the organization through effective communication and adequate training throughout the project. The client is now able to achieve efficiencies through the newly designed processes and supporting systems, which eliminated a number of manual steps within the accounting process and integrated key steps of the well lifecycle process.
